I spraypainted this piece in two days in the middle of the museum.&nbsp;For the theme I took inspiration of the scenes and places where the whole graffiti movement started in the 70’s: the subways. PT.1&nbsp;{2026}&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; I came up with a western sci-fi theme which tells the story about a conflict between the cowboys and the aliens.&nbsp;This mural was painted within four days. Most of the colors were mixed on the spot.Something I really wanted to explore during this Blind Walls Gallery project was to create kinetic energy. The NS asked me to fill up this large surface with a mural. So I chose to create an illustration with trains and also incorporate the lost &amp; found section of the NS. Back then this factory was “powered” by a water wheel, which was quite revolutionary for its time. The owner, David van Mollem, also built a fancy and large garden next to this factory. Utrecht’s street sports and street art festival, celebrated it’s second edition on the 12th of July. Located at Jaarbeursplein.For this years edition I was asked to make a live graffiti piece during the festival. Together with 4 other artists we all created our own freestyle artworks using spraypaint. Where we celebrate the birthday of a friend, with a weekend of camping and activities. For this poster I wanted to bring an ode to her yellow Volkswagen Transporter T4 van. As a farewell, since she’s going to sell it.&nbsp;The frames from the top left to right down:1. The back of the van with; a sleeping bag, a coolbox and the key of the hut which we lost for a little while last year2. Driving in the van (at high speed) towards the sea for some surfing3. “Delftse tegel” with tents on it, as an ode to the “special” ones in the van4. Mosquito spray, which a drunk person shouldn’t throw in a camping fire (spoiler: it’s flammable)5. The rooftent of the van with the mountains in the back6. An enjoyable kick-off to the Easter weekend.The theme is about Jurassic Park l and Jurassic Park lll. These were my favourite movies when I grew up (and still are).I watched these movies at least 4 times a year, visiting my grandparents in Newcastle. Wonder Beans is an organization that provides greed-free and sustainable coffee and tea; offering coffee farmers a fair price and reducing CO2 emissions by planting CO2-“guzzling” coffee farms. For this event I was asked to create a chalk illustration to attract the attention of passersby, of course in theme of the occasion. With most of the news being negative nowadays.The best way for me to cope with this is through cynical humor. A short comic in the newspapers’ is mostly cynical.
