Disorientated Illustrations
Buuf Buur is an Utrecht based illustrator and artist who’s work can be described as “modern Escher”.
Her illustrations consist of disorientating landscapes and infrastructure, creating confusing and infinite psychedelic worlds. Within these worlds, many doorways and openings lead to other underlying environments. Creating the feeling of the never ending and keeping it’s value of continuity.
Buuf Buur leaves the presence of characters aside within her artwork and therefore invites you, the people, to become the main character of the story. Letting you wander around in the places that have yet to be discovered.
