ILLUSTRATIONS 2025

ELECTRICITY BOX, ZIJDEBALEN {2025}
For the concept of the painting I received a neighborhood story about the Zijdebalen factory, which was a silk factory in Utrecht in the 17th and 18th century. Back then this factory was “powered” by a water wheel, which was quite revolutionary for its time. The owner, David van Mollem, also built a fancy and large garden next to this factory. After his death the factory and garden were demolished.
In addition to this story I was also asked to add in the David van Mollembrug, since the box is placed next to this bridge.

Made with acrylic paint and acrylic markers.
Special thanks to VanKastjeNaarCanvasje and Springplank Van De Stad.

OFF THE TRACKS FESTIVAL {2025}
Utrecht’s street sports and street art festival, celebrated it’s second edition on the 12th of July. Located at Jaarbeursplein.
For this years edition I was asked to make a live graffiti piece during the festival. Together with 4 other artists we all created our own freestyle artworks using spraypaint.
This piece took me about 6 hours to make.
Special thanks to OffTheTracks and Juan.

BLIND WALLS TALENT CALL {2025}
Five artists got selected this year for the Blind Walls Talent Call.
With the theme of nature and music in mind, we had to create temporary murals on and for the Ploegendienst festival terrain.

For my piece I created an 80’s recording studio in the midst of nature, where music and nature literally come together.
At the end of the competition I won the commission to make a permanent mural in Breda!
Special thanks to Blind Walls Gallery Breda and Ploegendienst Festival for this opportunity.
And another special thanks to my coach Marloes de Kiewit for guiding me during this project.

NOUKIFEST POSTER {2025}
Here is the poster of the fourth edition of Noukifest. Where we celebrate the birthday of a friend, with a weekend of camping and activities.
For this poster I wanted to bring an ode to her yellow Volkswagen Transporter T4 van. As a farewell, since she’s going to sell it.
The frames from the top left to right down:
1. The back of the van with; a sleeping bag, a coolbox and the key of the hut which we lost for a little while last year
2. Driving in the van (at high speed) towards the sea for some surfing
3. “Delftse tegel” with tents on it, as an ode to the “special” ones in the van
4. Mosquito spray, which a drunk person shouldn’t throw in a camping fire (spoiler: it’s flammable)
5. The rooftent of the van with the mountains in the back
6. Firing up the “29” birthday candles with a camping gas stove

JURASSIC PARK EGG {2025}
This is my version of a painted (real!) ostrich egg for the Vogelfrei Playground and Brouwerij ‘t IJ “Eggshibition”, which took place on the 19th of April. An enjoyable kick-off to the Easter weekend.
The theme is about Jurassic Park l and Jurassic Park lll. These were my favourite movies when I grew up (and still are).
I watched these movies at least 4 times a year, visiting my grandparents in Newcastle. A tradition we kept until the end.

The upper half of the egg is the third movie of the franchise and the lower half the first one.
The illustration is made with Molotow and Posca markers.

WONDER BEANS CHALK SIDEWALK {2025}
On the 11th of April there was a celebration event for the new partnership between Wonder Beans and TivoliVredenburg.
Wonder Beans is an organization that provides greed-free and sustainable coffee and tea; offering coffee farmers a fair price and reducing CO2 emissions by planting CO2-“guzzling” coffee farms.
For this event I was asked to create a chalk illustration to attract the attention of passersby, of course in theme of the occasion. Customers and passersby were able to enjoy this tasty coffee for free.

Within a short deadline of three hours we created this large (roughly 12 m x 6 m) sidewalk illustration using chalk spray.

KUNSTKEET CONTAINER {2025}
The “Kunstkeet” container is located on the Croeselaan in Utrecht. I was asked to create an artwork for the frontside of the container. For this I used spray paint. Consisting of many colours with the primarily use of green, blue, purple and brown.
The theme of this mural is: dystopian urban city.
For this mural I wanted to practice with spray paint. There’s still a lot to learn but this was a really fun experience working this big!
Most importantly I got to practice my shading and outlines/skinny lines.
