PRISON ESCAPE {2026}

        This mural is about escaping the infamous Koepelgevangenis in Breda, which is located around the corner of this wall.
The illustration is mostly inspired by the escape story of Tottie Kiel, in which she dug a tunnel, fled “through” the sidewalk and took off in a car.

The mural is divided into two parts.
Below the black middle bar the story takes place inside and underground the prison. Above the bar the story takes place outside and above the prison.

The storyline in short: prison cell, digging a tunnel, escape route through shaft, exit through sidewalk, air raid alarm goes off, getaway car, freedom.

A COWBOY AND AN ALIEN WALK INTO A FLOATING SALOON... PT.2  {2026}

        “A cowboy and an alien walk into a floating saloon…” is the beginning of a classic bar joke that leads to a wild west conflict on an exoplanet.

A cowboy and an alien are enjoying their drinks at the bar. At that moment, a classic bar joke is told featuring the cowboy and the alien. The stupid joke is told, but instead of laughter there’s an actual fight breaking out between them. A classic floating saloon afternoon.
The fight then works its way outside into the desert to a much larger scale. An actual sci-fi battle takes place.

A COWBOY AND AN ALIEN WALK INTO A FLOATING SALOON... PT.1 {2026}

        I came up with a western sci-fi theme which tells the story about a conflict between the cowboys and the aliens.
This mural was painted within four days. Most of the colors were mixed on the spot.
Something I really wanted to explore during this Blind Walls Gallery project was to create kinetic energy. Movements such as: explosions, dust clouds, smoke, etc.

In this large painting you can see elements such as: a UFO, a floating saloon, explosions, a cowboy hat and a desert surrounding.
For some “scenery” I’ve added some sand on the floor of the gallery and also brought a few western props.
